A couple of firsts...

I have realized that I have missed blogging on some special things that have happened to Blakeley in the last few months....so this is an update!

We have had a couple of firsts over the last few months. In September, Blakeley was invited to her first "friend" birthday party. Rylan goes to daycare with Blakeley and was born 3 months after her. Blakeley has been to other birthday parties, but at that time she wasn't walking yet, so I was eager to see how she would react to this party.

The party was at Gymboree in the Mall Of Ga. They did a great job of facilitating activities, but also letting the kids roam and around and explore. One activity was the parachute(classic!). The first part the kids got to sit on it while the parents rotated the parachute...Blakeley willingly sat there (dead as a rock) while we walked in a circle and sang a song.

But then, the kids got to run underneath the parachute. Blakeley thought this was the BEST!

I mean really, she LOVED it!

Blakeley even made some new friends at the party...

We worked a little bit on hula hooping...

Happy Birthday sweet Rylan!! Thanks for letting us come to your birthday party! (Sorry this is a little late!)

Another first was that we bought Blakeley her first toothbrush and toothpaste. She is obsessed with our toothbrushes, so I knew she would love her own!

She lets me brush her teeth for about 10 seconds and then she has to do it herself.

"Thanks Momma for my Pooh Bear toothbrush!" :)

The last "first" that we have had recently is waking up at 3 a.m. to Blakeley puking her guts out! :/

I am sure you are all thankful that I didn't take pictures of that. All three of us actually handled the situation well. Blakeley didn't cry too much when it kept happening. I think she was more upset that after she puked on me that I had to put her in the tub while she continued to throw up ( I know y'all wanted details like that!)

too much Tangled??

I think it is fair to say that my daughter is a little obsessed with Rapunzel from the movie "Tangled". We happen to watch it at least once a week (and sometimes it is by my choice, not hers - ha!) But I can't seem to figure out why Blakeley loves it so much??

I will give you three guess why??

Do you think you know?
If you ever visit our house and see this frying pan laying around in the middle of the living room, you now know why....

Maybe now we know what Blakeley can be for Halloween - if only we could grow out her hair that fast... :)
